At the recent WNET Education Celebration in New York City, Thomas Riddle and David Schneider presented “Adventures in Learning with Indiana Jones” to an enthusiastic audience of teachers from across the nation. The two-day conference held on March 7-8 provided Riddle and Schneider with a venue for informing teachers about the benefits of using Indy as a means of inspiring students to learn history, science, literature, the arts and more. The weekend was a great success as hundreds of educators from a variety of disciplines and grade levels discovered Young Indy for the first time and left excited to learn more about incorporating the films, documentaries and timeline into their lessons. Much thanks goes to Ron Thorpe, WNET’s VP of Education, for providing this wonderful opportunity! The conference was truly outstanding!

Finally, we’d like to thank everyone who stopped by the Lucasfilm booth to share their time and their stories with us. We’d also like to thank all of those early risers who came to the session at 8:15 on Saturday morning (you were all troopers!). And thanks goes to the many teachers who have contacted us since the conference with questions and comments. We look forward to continuing to work with you as you set forth on your on learning adventure with Indiana Jones!
